Dr. Davies has been my anesthesiologist for more than twenty years.  He began his career as one of a handful of dentists trained to treat the anesthesia needs of patients in the same manner as physicians. This academic and hospital based foundation brings to dental offices superior safety. Most of the patients we treat in this fashion have medical conditions compromising their health.  His presence in a dental treatment facility greatly reduces the risk for these patients undergoing potentially stressful therapy as it completely eliminates painful, stressful, and anxiety-provoking sensations. I used to "try" to sedate apprehensive patients with oral anxiolytics and/or nitrous. But unfortunately the level of sedation is unpredictable making the process very stressful, time consuming, and too often unsuccessful.
